Red Lines Assembly Lube is a lubricant to apply to potential wear surfaces before assembly in order to prevent metal contact upon startup before adequate lubrication is supplied. It provides three times greater film strength than conventional black molybdenum disulfide greases and will not clog oil filters. This product clings to all surfaces and is an excellent rust inhibitor, allowing the storage of parts for years. A thin film of protection is all that is required on mating parts. Red Line Assembly Lube will mix with Red Line motor oil and can be used on all lubricated parts such as cams, followers, pistons, and bearings, and bolt threads. Use only a small amount on bearing and piston surfaces, too much can make it difficult to turn over the engine. Red Line Assembly Lube is an excellent corrosion inhibitor and can be used on machined surfaces to provide long-term corrosion protection. It should not be used on exhaust bolts or other high temperature bolts which require an anti-seize.
The lube itself is decent for assembly, but it took longer than expected to arrive. The 16-ounce jar is a good amount, but I had to wait an extra few days to start my project. It gets the job done, but I wish the shipping had been faster.

I bought this Red Line Assembly Lube to use on my car engine rebuild. It coated everything nicely and has held up well under heat. Just make sure you don’t use too much!

The Red Line Assembly Lube works fine; however, the labeling is a bit vague on how to use it effectively. I had to look for tips online to get the best results. It's fine once you figure it out, but I was expecting clearer guidance.
